Day 1: Depart from Kampala to Bwindi
After morning breakfast, embark on your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, which is located in the Southwestern Uganda, in the Kanungu district on the edge of Abertine Rift. This drive takes approximately 8 to 10 hours from Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. On your way, you will have a stopover at the Equator to take some photos, and then later drive to Bwindi. Although Bwindi is a habitat to other animals like the bush buck, antelopes, forest duiker and so much of the bird species like African green broadbill, white-tailed blue flycatcher, brown-necked parrot, white-bellied robin chat and Frazer’s eagle owl, it is most famous for the Mountain Gorillas. You will reach the park late in the evening. Have your overnight at Gorilla Mist Camp on a full board basis.
Day 2 : Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi.
Arise early in the morning, have breakfast and then drive to the park headquarters where they will brief you about how to track the Gorillas. Note that you have to be physically fit to undertake this activity and one is given one hour to interact with the primates. You will be led by the park rangers through the forest in bid to see the great apes. On your way, you will see other primates through the thick forest, like the red tailed monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, baboons and some bird species which include the African green broadbill, White-tailed blue flycatcher, Brown necked parrot, White-bellied Robin chat and among others. After the trek, return to the lodge for a relaxation and if time permits, you may decide to carry out a community walk. Have your overnight at Gorilla Mist Camp on a full board basis.
Day 3: Travel back to Kampala.
After an early morning breakfast, depart from Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and have a lunch en route in Mbarara at Agip Motel or Igongo Cultural Center. The journey to Kampala will take approximately 8-10hrs drive. You will reach Kampala in the late evening and have a transfer to Entebbe Airport depending on the flight departure time.

Gorilla Mist Camp Ruhija
Located 35 kilometers from Kabale town and 20 kilometers from Buhoma, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park’s HQ. Privately operated and locally owned, Accommodation at the Rest Camp is provided in clean well maintained rooms. All the accommodation has solar electric lighting installed. There are several leveled terraces for those with their own equipment to camp. Cold beers and sodas are available with local produce used to provide visitors meals.
The tents are well equipped with comfortable beds and furniture. All beds are designed purposely to ensure comfort. The bathrooms are fitted with hot / cold showers and bath tabs. It has 24 hours solar power running.
