Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
After your early morning breakfast, the guide will pick you from your hotel and start off the journey to Lake Mburo National Park. It lies between the towns of Masaka and Mbarara in         Western Uganda. Its 228kms from Kampala about 4hrs drive. Lake Mburo Park is a very special place with a medley of habitats ranging from dry hillsides, rocky outcrops, and bushy thickets, open and wooded savannas to forest, lakes and swamps. The drive will offer a chance to view its sculpture landscape, rolling hills and idyllic lake shores, forest galleries, seasonal and permanent swamps and grassy valleys all support a wealth of wildlife in a tropical setting. On arrival, you will visit some local communities or go for horse riding after checking in. Dinner and overnight stay at Mihingo lodge.

Day 2: Game drive and boat ride
Wake up early for a cup of tea and embark on a morning game drive to catch up with early raisers and predators returning to their hideouts. Inside the park, you may spot animals like impala, Zebras, buffalo, hyena, leopards, antelope, vervet monkeys and olive baboon. Different birds can also be spotted like the shoebill, saddle billed stork, chested wattled plover, Carrutter’s cisticola and many more. Return to the lodge and relax as you wait for lunch and proceed for a nature walk to the salt lick area. Dinner and overnight stay at Mihingo lodge.

Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi a home of mountain gorillas
After your early breakfast, check out and start of the journey to Bwindi impenetrable national park for about 5 hours from Lake Mburo National park. You will have en route lunch in Kabale town. Bwindi impenetrable park is the oldest and most biologically diverse rainforest, with over 400 species of plants. It lies on the edge of the rift valley in Southwestern Uganda, and protects at least 120 species of mammals, 346 species of birds, 202 species of butterflies, 163 species of trees, 100 species of ferns, 27 species of frogs, chameleons, geckos, among many endangered species. Day 4: Gorilla trekking experience
After your early morning breakfast, with your packed lunch and drinking water head to the park headquarters for a brief orientation about the dos and don’ts of the mountain gorillas before your let into the forest for tracking. As your searching for gorillas which takes 2-8 hours you may be able to spot some birds and monkeys , take photos then when you finally meet the gorillas observe their behavior, the way they feed, play with each other, nurse their young ones and a lot of things they do that are so amazing. Return to the lodge for late lunch and relax then if you want to go for a village walk, do it in the evening to the Batwa community experience.

Day 5: Departure
After your early morning breakfast, check out thereafter embark on your journey back to Kampala. Along the journey, you may stop at Igongo cultural center for lunch and also visit the museum after which you will proceed with the journey and have another stop over at the Equator for photos and visit the craft shops. Reach Kampala and proceed to Entebbe international Airport to catch up your flight.
