The 2 dry seasons are the best for Gorilla Trekking adventures in Volcanoes National Park/Golden Monkey Treks or Chimpanzee Tracking in either Nyungwe Forest National Park or Gishwati-Mukura N/Park. Also, it is during the 2 drier seasons when Rwanda safaris are their peak and if you are heading for Gorilla safari/Chimpanzee holiday, you must consider booking your permits early enough.

There are also 2 wetter/rainy seasons experienced in most of Rwanda tourist destinations and preferably the best to sight birds. That is from March to May and October running up to November but these are rainy months and the ground is usually muddy/slippery making them unfavorable for Gorilla Trekking.
