Day 1: Kigali to Akagera NP-Game drive

After an early breakfast at the lodge, you will be picked by our professional driver at the lodge and be transferred to Akagera National Park through Kigali town. The countryside of this small country is undeniably exciting as you head to the eastern side. You will arrive in lunch hours and check into the lodge. Launch an exciting game drive to catch up with a variety of gems before you retire at the lodge again in the evening. Dinner and night stay at the lodge.

Day 2: Explore Akagera National Park and Boat cruise

Depart in the morning with your driver for yet another game viewing experience, the early hunting carnivores are seen in running battles with the helpless animals as the vegetarians are seen feeding massively. Return to the lodge for lunch and head to Lake Ihema for a marvelous experience at the waters. Crocodiles are seen sunbathing while the hippos are seen swimming endlessly in the waters. Several mammals are seen coming to quench their thirst on the sores as some are attacked by crocs. Return to the lodge for dinner and a night stay.

Day 3: Enroute game drive and city tour

After breakfast at the lodge, you will check out of the lodge and drive off to the park for a final game drive as you end your trip. This may be your chance to catch up with animals you missed and those you wish to watch again. Proceed to Kigali city for a very short city tour as you head to the airport for your flight.

Day 1: Arrival and transfer to the Hotel

Day 2: City Tour and Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

After an early breakfast at the lodge, you will be led out of the lodge to go for a historical visit to the historical burial site of the genocide massacres.

You will learn a lot about this tragedy that happened in 1994 and how the country has since recovered from it. You will then proceed to Ruhengeri district in the Northwest where Volcanoes National Park is located. Dinner and night stay at the lodge within the park.

Day 3: Gorilla Tracking

After an early breakfast at the lodge, you will be transferred to the park headquarters for briefing with other guests on the tracking rules and regulations.  You will be allocated Gorilla groups to track and be led into the forest to search for the habituated Gorillas.

You will be allowed to spend one full hour with the Gorillas from the time of encounter as you learn the behavioral patterns of these forest giants.

You will then be led to the starting point to meet your driver and transfer you to the lodge to retire from the long activity. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 4: Golden Monkey Trekking

Drive to Gisenyi after breakfast and meet the rest of the visitors to be briefed on the tracking guidelines as a group. Golden monkeys are tracked like the Gorillas and some of the guidelines are more/less the same as you will be guided.

You will be led into the forest to search for these tiny and shy apes that have been habituated. The monkeys are seen jumping on top of the trees but are uniquely identified by their unique Golden fur even from a distance.

Please carry your pair of Binoculars to watch more closely. You will be led to the starting point after this blissful experience to meet your driver. You will head for a community visit to catch up with the local people to interact with them and learn about their way of life. Dinner and night stay at the lodge.

Day 5: Return to Kigali

After an early breakfast at the lodge, you will drive to Kigali and have a short city tour before transferring to the airport for your flight.

Day 1: Arrival

Our professional guide will be ready at the airport to welcome you on arrival and transfer you to the Hotel in Kigali city. There is a number of activities to do depending on the time you arrive and these include; a city tour to different tour destinations in the city.  You will check into the Hotel and rest for the night on your first day in Rwanda.

Day 2: Transfer to Akagera National Park

This Savannah park is found in the northeastern side of Rwanda bordering Tanzania. It shelters several big mammals including; Elephants, Buffaloes, Zebras, Waterbucks, Bushbucks, Giraffes, and recently introduced Lions. This day begins with a game drive through this park to explore the beautiful nature of this land of a thousand hills watching the animals in the wild. Drive to the lodge for lunch and launch a boat cruise on Lake Ihema to catch to with Hippos and crocs and a number of water birds and animals coming to quench their thirst on the fresh waters of this lake. You will later return to the lodge for dinner and a night’s stay at Akagera game lodge.

Day 3: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park

After breakfast at the lodge, you will exit Akagera and head to Nyungwe forest National park to catch up with the closest relatives of humans in the forest. Nyungwe is known for its thick forest and the canopy walk that is one of the three in Africa. you will have a lunch stopover at Huye to learn a little about the Rwandan Culture and arrive later in the evening and check into the lodge for dinner and night stay at Nyungwe top view lodge.

Day 4: Chimpanzee Tracking and Canopy Walk

After the morning breakfast at the lodge, you will be transferred to the park headquarters to have a briefing on the clear rules for chimpanzee tracking with other guests. You will then be led into the forest in search of habituated Chimps. The exercise will take you 2-5 hours including a one full hour encounter with the Chimps from the time of encounter. You may have a chance to watch other primates in this forest as you track the Chips. Many bird species are also found in this park and may be seen on the trip. You will later transfer to the Uwinka center for the Canopy walk which is another magical experience. Return to the lodge for dinner and a night stay.

Day 5: Nyungwe to Volcanoes National Park

After the morning breakfast, you will embark on a rather long journey connecting to the Volcanoes National park the home of mountain Gorillas. The journey takes you about 6 hours driving through the beautiful countryside as you watch the rolling hills of Rwanda. You will arrive in the evening hours and retire at the lodge for the next day’s activities. Dinner and night stay at Le Bambou gorilla lodge.

Day 6: Gorillas Tracking in Volcanoes National Park

After breakfast, you will drive off to the park headquarters of Volcanoes National Park for a briefing with other guests. You will be allocated Gorilla groups to track with other guests in groups of 8 people.

You will then hit the jungle to meet the habituated Gorillas in their habitat. On meeting them, you will be allowed to spend one full hour with them as you watch their behavior and learning about their unique nature.

You will then be led back to the starting point to meet your driver and head to the lodge for a rest. Dinner and night stay at Le Bambou gorilla lodge.

Day 7: End of the Rwanda Wildlife Safari

Start your day with breakfast at the lodge and transfer to Kigali city for a short city tour before you are led to the airport for your departure.

Enjoy breakfast in the morning and after proceed to the headquarters for your briefing from the park, you will also be equipped with hiking gear and drinking water. Day 1: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

Upon your arrival, the guide will meet you and then will transfer you to Volcanoes National park, before reaching the park, you will get an opportunity of adventuring the new Kigali city hat is filled with many interesting features and the attractions.

Later on you will also start your final transfer to Volcanoes National park that is 80km away from Kigali city and has got an altitude of 2400km to 4507km above the sea level, dotted with rain forest vegetation and the unique beautiful wildlife species.

Gorilla trekking in this park is a worthwhile adventure since glancing in the eyes of these gentle giants is the best adventure ever in Rwanda.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park

You will also wake up in the morning and then enjoy breakfast, and with packed lunch, continue to the headquarters for your briefing and then go for gorilla trekking with the ranger guidance.

This trek will also take 3 to 8 hours and will also depend on the movement of these mountain gorillas and on meeting them, you will be given 1 hour to spend with the gorillas. More so, depending on how long you will have to spend before getting to these primates.

You will also visit the twin lakes in the evening to get some relaxation. The other option would also be to stay at the lodge in order to settle down after the long day.

Day 3: Departure

You will wake up early in the morning and have breakfast before checking out of the lodge. The driver guide will then transfer you to the city in Kigali and have some shopping done at the local markets. Have your lunch as you prepare to be dropped off at the airport for your flight back home.

Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Volcanoes National Park

Arrive at Kigali Airport and meet and greet with the guide, we have a half-day city tour, including a visit to the genocide memorial centre and other cultural sights. Later in the afternoon, we drive to Kinigi via Ruhengeri. This road to Ruhengeri is also sealed offering the stunning scenery of the hills and valleys of this green and the lush country as you take a little more than 2 hours. From here, we have a 20 minutes drive to Kinigi at the base of Sabyinyo Mountain, with excellent views of the Virunga Mountain.

Day 2: First-day Gorilla Trekking

Have breakfast and then take a short drive to the park headquarters and meet with the beautiful local guides and the trackers who will give you a talk on the etiquette of gorilla trekking tours.

We shall then hike into the forest to where the gorillas were seen the night before and track from that point. The trek can take from 1 to 6 hours and the climb to the altitudes is not in excess of 7,500 feet.

Day 3: Transfer to Nyungwe national park

The forest is among the oldest in East Africa protecting 12 primate species including chimpanzees and world-class canopy walk.  You will arrive in the evening and check in the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at a luxurious Nyungwe house.

Day 4: Chimpanzee tracking and canopy walk

Have morning breakfast and later go for briefing before chimpanzee tracking exercise, you will then enter the forest in search for the chimpanzee, the experience is rewarding while you spot other primates including the white colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys. Spend time with the chimps as they play around, make nests, feed among others. You will then return t the lodge for lunch and in the afternoon the canopy walk, one of the finest in the world walking 50 meters high above in the middle of the forest. You will be able to spot more primate species at a close range as well as various bird species. Dinner and overnight on day 3

Day 5: Transfer to Kigali city and departure

Have breakfast at leisure then embark on a 4 hours’ drive back to Kigali city with en-route visit to Nyanza king’s palace and Rwanda national museum in Huye and Murambi genocide museum. Day 1: Transfer to Akagera national park

Day 4: Gorilla tracking experience and cultural experience

Wake up early in the morning, prepare and have a morning cup of tea, your driver-guide will drive you to Kinigi park quarters for briefing and embark to the forest in search of mountain gorillas. You will spend an hour with them when you finally meet them, remember to carry packed lunch and enough drinking water as it becomes strenuous along with hiking. Take pictures, observe and later return to the lodge. In the evening you will visit iby’iwachu for the cultural experience of Rwanda’s tradition through dance and storytelling. Day 5: Return to Kigali
