1 DAY JINJA TOUR, SEZIBWA FALLS AND MABIRA FOREST
You could probably be in Kampala for a short while and wondering what to do around to spend We will take you a bit outside the city to have an amazing moment in the nearby Jinja city. Jinja town is home to the source of the undoubtedly longest river in the world and several other attractions including Uganda’s largest source of hydro power.
Day1: Kampala to Jinja and Back
We shall set off from Kampala early this day and head to Jinja after breakfast at your Hotel/residence. Our first stopover will be at Sezibwa falls a Buganda cultural heritage whose name is derived from a Luganda phrase “Sezibwa KKubo” translated as my path cannot be blocked. The local say that its flow could not be stopped even when there were obstacles like the rocks. You will enjoy great insight by the local guide at the site as he shares on the great history of this place. Sezibwa falls if also home to a wide range of bird species that are seen as you tour this place.
Another stopover is at Mabira Falls which is probably the largest forest near the capital. The forest has several bird species, butterflies, red-tailed monkeys and the Uganda Mangabeys on a lucky day. All this will be encountered on one of the forest trails as you hike through the forest.
We shall then proceed to Jinja own for lunch and had for the most exciting activity the boat ride to the source of the world’s longest river. The boat ride could take you 30 minutes to one hour after which we shall set off back to Kampala as we end the trip
