Aerolink Uganda is a privately owned domestic airline in Uganda, authorized by the Uganda Civil Aviation Authority to provide both schedule and charter flights. This Airline has an Air Operator’s Certificate to transport travelers to most of Uganda’s National Parks that include Bwindi Impenetrable, Queen Elizabeth, Semuliki, Kidepo Valley, Lake Mburo and Murchison falls National Parks in addition to Jinja.
Aerolink Uganda was established in 2012 with its Headquarters/or operating base at Entebbe International Airport. This 4-fleet Airline is owned by Air Kenya and its daily flights take visitors to Kasese and Mweya Airstrips for tourists planning to visit Queen Elizabeth National Park, Kisoro and Kihihi Airstrips for tourists to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Chobe, Bugungu and Pakuba Airstrips for tourists planning to explore Murchison falls National Park, Apoka Airstrip for visitors to Kidepo Valley National Park as well as Semuliki Airstrip for visitors to Semuliki National Park.
Aerolink Uganda Fleet.
Aerolink Uganda mainly operates Cessna 208 Caravans with a fleet of up to 4 Aircrafts, each with capability of accommodating 11 passengers at ago. Its affiliation and ownership is shared between Regional Air Services of Tanzania and AirKenya Express of Kenya. Their latest aircrafts are fully-equipped with state-of-art technology for flight instruments displayed in the full-glass cockpit. The Aircrafts are also designed with wonderful hazard avoidance abilities to enable the crew spot and avoid life-threatening weather, terrain and other aircrafts.
As earlier mentioned, the aircrafts are fitted with clear glass cockpits, making it possible for passengers to enjoy a “flight with the pilots’ experience in addition to comprising different element of comfort and adventure.
From Entebbe International Airport, most flights by Aerolink Uganda take approximately 75 minutes (one hour and fifteen minutes) to each of the National Parks, hence allowing visitors to reach the destination feeling energized, relaxed and not fatigued to venture into the wilderness activities. With these domestic flights, travelers have opportunities of participating in the adrenaline-packed white-water rafting and even come face to face with the endangered mountain gorillas within few days.
Aero Link Uganda boasts of highly experienced Pilots that fly passengers to different National Parks and Engineers to often inspect Aircrafts so as to guarantee the security, comfort and safety of passengers and crew (mainly pilots).
Aerolink Uganda joins the likes of Eagle Air, Transafrik Uganda and many others to promote domestic air movements in Uganda, with domestic passengers projected to grow up to 152,000 by 2023 while aircrafts movements are predicted to increase to 11,600 in 2023. The increase in number of African elites appreciating air transport is seen as the largest contributor to the expansion of domestic air transport industry. With this growth, Uganda is expected to be among the top African countries experiencing tremendous air transport growth.

Besides the domestic destinations – Kidepo Valley, Semuliki, Bwindi Impenetrable, Queen Elizabeth, Mgahinga Gorilla, Murchison falls, Jinja, Kampala and Entebbe, Aerolink Uganda also operates flights to the neighboring Kenya destinations such as Kisumu (to Kisumu International Airport) as well as Masai Mara National Reserve (to Mara Serena Airstrip).
Baggage Allowances.
Aerolink Uganda provides baggage allowances for carry-on luggage not exceeding 15 kilograms of soft bags and this also includes all hand baggage. Extra luggage is carried at extra charges with the existing freight charges.
Aerolink Classes and facilities.
Aerolink Uganda mainly operates the economy class with seating capacity of 11 passengers, with ultimate comfort and safety throughout the journey. Flights are flown by two expertly trained pilots operating full-glass cockpits.
There are cargo pods underneath the seats for passenger baggage and the Airline doesn’t provide flight attendants in the cabins.
