Uganda is an east African country among Rwanda, Kenya, Tanzania, Burundi and south Sudan.
Uganda can be accessed by both air and road transport from East African countries and by air from the international countries. Water transport is also there especially ferry crossing in Bukakata, Nakiwongo in Lake Victoria, then crossing to Kisumu in Kenya and Mwanza in Tanzania. Other water transport means are used on the Nile river Murchison fall crossing from the southern to the Northern part of the park where at kazinga channel in mweya queen Elizabeth national park there are also boat cruises.
Air transport
Uganda can be accessed by international airlines, and inter-Africa airlines. There are also domestic charter flights to other parts of the country. International Airlines include; Brussels Airlines, Turkish Airlines, Qatar Airways, British Airways, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Emirates Airlines and Inter-Africa airlines include Gulf airlines Ethiopian Airlines, jumbo jet air ways, South African Airways, Egypt Air, Air Tanzania, Kenya Airways, Rwanda Express, Fly 540, and Precision Airlines. There are also charter flights arranges to the different parts of the country offered by Kampala Aero Club, Ndege Juu Ya Africa, Air Serve, and Eagle Air.
All international and inter- African airlines have safe landing at Entebbe international airport. Domestic airstrips include Kololo airstrip, kajjasi airstrip, Garuga airstrip, pakuba airstip, Nyakasharara, Mweya airstrip, Arua strip, Kidepo airstrip and many more others. These local airstrips are usually used by tourists and business people to connect to the different parts of the country.
Road transport
Uganda has a connection of road networks to the east African countries. The Road transport network connecting other countries to Uganda is convenient if you one wants to explore the country. By road there are Buses such as mash poa, Kampala Coaches, Jaguar, Gaga, Easy Coach, Modern Coast, volcanoes. All these buses run between Kampala to Nairobi, Kigali, Dar-es-salaam, Bujumbura and Juba. These buses leave on time schedule at each different destination therefore you need prior booking as you may run out of seat availability.
Water transport
Uganda is surrounded by Lake Victoria, the largest lake in Africa with so many islands. These islands attract both local and international visitors who go to visit for relaxing and fun while the locals go for fishing and some it’s their home of residence .there is an inland ferry connecting Nakiwogo in Entebbe and the Ssese islands an archipelago of islands on Lake Victoria and another ferry is between Bukakata near Masaka town. The ferry from Nakiwogo departs at around 1:30pm and leaves Ssese islands at 8:00am arriving at Nakiwogo at around 11:00am, this journey usually takes about 3 hours on water.
