Dian is an American primatologist who dedicated her life to the conservation of the then few remaining mountain Gorillas from poachers. She was however brutally murdered by poacher in 1985 but her works remain. Her burial grounds were turned into a research center that will take you on a journey of 3 hours to reach. You get to learn more about the dedication of this hero Dian who left her comfort of a good life in her country and came to save the lives of the mountain gorillas. This is actually the heart of conservation of the Gorillas in Rwanda since there wasn’t much attention given to them until she came in.
