Where Gorilla habituation take place in Uganda

Gorilla habituation is one of the most enthralling gorilla travel experiences in the world. It involves getting the gorillas used to the presence of human beings. Visitors are allowed to spend time with UWA researchers training the gorillas to be free with the presence of people around them without changing their natural behavior. At the moment, Gorilla habituation only takes place in Uganda in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National park in the Rushaga sector.

Uganda wildlife researchers take time monitoring the behavior of wild gorillas and identify them by their sex and age before they’re given names. Visitors are given an opportunity to take part in this great adventure together with a team of researchers.
